I ended up going with a glass of the PranQster. Really good stuff.

I would have liked to try out the homebrews they had available, but my buddy & I already had plans to hit up the Shady Lady Saloon next door. I will definitely visit again to try out many more of the offerings at B & B.
Next time you're up here then let me know. A couple of us Sac guys would be down to kick it with you guys.

Maybe I will even mess with your manual booster controller since I've been said to do that

Their Panic IPA won California State Fair first place. All their beers that they make in house are all really good.

They started 2011 and have already moved into a huge warehouse and from what I understand their original location is going to start producing Sour beers.

Morimoto Soba Ale. Smooth and good taste, but could be a little stronger IMO. I still prefer Old No. 38 better.

Nice to know, love to try the IPAs.

As for sours, I haven't gotten into 'em. Someone who is a regular at Russian River told me that at first it'll seem 'sour' duh, but about halfway through it it's really good beer. I've tried a few, but man a whole glass, I haven't done yet.

Yeah, fosho. Last week, I actually lurked the SRiC Thurs nite meet thread cuz I had considered rolling out there since I was in the Conv Ctr area for a conference.

But at Thurs evening's social, I ended up w/ a couple extra drink tix. So NO driving for me. Plus, I had some work to submit online before catching up w/ my colleagues for that night's post-networking action.

D'oh! Just edited my post cuz I left out the "NO" as in "NO driving."

But I'm sure ya knew what I meant. With the smiley I used, it's way funnier as I originally had it like in your quote of it. LOL

Getting back on topic...

A couple weeks back, I FINALLY tried out a local spot here in Vallejo: Mare Island Brewing Co. - Our Taproom

I had their sampler flight of 5 brews. All were excellent. I ended up w/ a pint of their Farmhouse Ale. My homegirl had the Saginaw Golden Ale.

On the recommendation of a guy sitting next to us at the bar, I also tried a tasting of Carneros Brewing Co.'s Morena Ale. Great stuff as well.

I've got friends in the South Bay & Sac-Joaquin Valley that wanna do a day in Napa soon. Same guy suggested a really fun way to do that is for the fellas to hit up a couple breweries while the ladies do the wineries, then all meet up for dinner in the evening.

Anyway, I need to make my way back to Mare Island Brewing's Taproom on the regular for the great vibe, great views (esp. around sunset), and stellar brews! Oh, and Carneros Brewing will mos def be a stop on our Napa-Sonoma Valleys beer-tasting tour.

Ninkasi is where it's at! Solid cheaper bomber for the fridge, good go to one. My first ever IPA was Port Brewing Wipe out.

BTW, as far as places around here with good selection.

1) Mojo's off Peralta and Fremont Blvd. It's a dive bar, but they always have a great draft lineup. They also follow major sports. So if you want a good pick of a cold one and some sports, but don't want to pay too hefty and don't mind the diveness, this is the spot for you. About $6 dollar pints.

2) The other go to spot is Mission Pizza off 680 Washington exit. It has some live music and decent pizza and of course dat draft selection. Country would be my description.

If you guys got any other local bars who carry dem drafts let me know.

Going to Lost Coast this weekend with friends. Not sure how I feel about them because not a huge fan of their beer... but sometimes things are better in person. I was going to bring my growler too.

Cut your trip in half and just go to North Coast in Fort Bragg. Much better beer.
