Shenanigans! You must have 2 frp or cf fixed back seats, gutted interior, gutted trunk, cf trunk lid, cf rear doors (and front doors)....? Your mod list sounds like a full interior. It's "inconceivable" to drop that much weight off a GD chassis WRX/STi without doing something crazy like anorexic on IWSTI. Please tell me how you dropped the weight.
In PM of course so we don't derail this thread.

also front interior is full interior. in fact i have 2 amps still in the car. there is a thread somewhere on baic search for keywords "my car took a fat dump"edit: actually when i weighed the car (lowest i had it was around 2700 lbs even) i had the volk ce28n wheels with 225/45/17 (wheels were 12lbs a pc). actually now i have 18x9.5 w/ 275/35/18 so i didnt consider that so prob in the high 2700s, almost 2800

Yeah, thats true. I know everyone's cars are special to them, but this is a car show, the best car wins... And springs and wheels wont get you to the top of the list even though they do look good.
Just thought I'd add my .02 in all of this. You can choose to agree or disagree but this is how I call it. It seems like this whole car show thing has taken a turn mainly because there are some who are changing the rules in the middle of the competition.
These were the rules that were stated from the beginning of the competition.

Some quick rules to this game.
Some quick rules to this game.
Anyone can be added to the nominations
Must be a Subaru!
So if Jim feels that Sallys STi is nice. Well then Jim can post up Sallys STi, As long as Sally can attend BAM
Must be able to attend the BAM meet!
BAM is on Sunday, August 9th at Lake Stafford in Novato (North bay)
Need to be able to post up a picture.
(we all need to see your car to vote on it right!)
If you dont have or cant I'm sure one of our local photo guys can help. Or you can pm me and I can line something up to get your car in the nominations.
We will run the nominations for 2 weeks
Then this thread will be closed and we will move them into a voting thread. So make sure you get it before the time limit.
Lets see your cars ladys and gentlemen.
I don't feel that this is an excuse...
There aren't enough cars or prizes to constitute that many categories. Perhaps 2 categories, maybe 3 MAX. There just aren't enough cars or prizes, otherwise everyone would win.
1. Best overall
2. Best Sedan
3. Best wagon/hatch
Even then, the same person can win both times, and I'd like to even it out a bit more... So it'd have to be something like:
1. Best overall
2. Cleanest ride
Maybe one other one, but it wouldn't be model specific, that being too specific. Its much easier to have one or two categories for the sake of voting and such. Like I said, I can only provide so many prizes for that category. Rest assured that they will be nice prizes.

For example, no one liked xhengmanx's red mud flaps when he first got them, mainly because it was different. After more and more people started to see his car grow, more and more people began to like it. THAT is the point I'm trying to get at. One would criticize a person for being different but once everyone is exposed to it more, the more people begin to appreciate what's different. Now a lot of people are growing fond of the red mud flaps. This is only aesthetics too (not engine mods). Having this car show nomination helped him show everyone his work of art. And that in itself has become an inspiration for some to step outside the box and become creative themselves. That's what I feel is the true meaning of having this car show.
I'm not trying to step on anyone's territory, I just wanted to let everyone know and hope that they understand that this is all some of us really want.

i agree with oh 4 panda, it seems like the car show rules have been changing even after the rules have been already posted. some cars only had modification such as springs or wheels but yet they get looked over because they had too little mods. i thought as long as you were a subaru and were nominated, you can take part of the car show. so if there were too many nominations, we would all be narrowing it down to the top 5 and we would all vote for the top car anyways right?
i think as long as you are part of the show, then that will be to someones satisfaction. giving out a prize is just the icing on the cake.
