Just got it working finally.
A few things to note that again about the UI. The "back" button isn't a permanent feature like my old S4. you have to call up the bottom hidden menu. It's pretty annoying.
The phone is juuuuust too big to be able to type with one hand.
The power/volume buttons are right where i want my fingers to be when holding the phone, so i tend to lock the phone and screw the volume up a bunch.
The phone itself is fast, really fast.
the build of the phone feels pretty solid.
The charging is pretty fast so far. I just need to order a qc car charger now since that is where the majority of charging happens.
My only issues with the phone so far is the speaker volume and a ton of just odd UI design choices. From the phone dialer, to the contacts and messaging. I haven't even setup email yet, so we'll see how that goes later.
I'll post pics later on today.

I remember when I came from the Galaxy line to the Nexus, one of my biggest concerns was the lack of front buttons. After having the N5 for the last 2+ years I never want to have buttons on the front again if I can help it. I simply love the look of the phone with no buttons on the front when it's resting on the table.
Interesting note about the button placement, hopefully you'll get used to it over time.
Yeah, those are all the stock apps that Google makes that you are now experiencing, not the Samsung specific apps that they created. I think you'll get used to them overtime.

Found out that MM loads a ton of bloat in the root partition.
That being the whole reason I couldnt use an app that I had previously.
Found that I only had 4MB out of 1.94GB free in the root partition, thus the app was not able to make the change I wanted it to.
I booted into TWRP, mount - checked "system" and then went back to main menu, advanced - file manager - system - app and then removed personally unused apps.
I then had 450.69MB free after some house cleaning. Retried the app and it worked like a charm.

That would drive me insane.
I was having an issue sending messages to my aunt a couple weeks ago. Just to her. She could send me messages but she would not get mine. Me having Android and her with an iphone. She could get txt from anyone else too.
After trying multiple different things, the culprit was on my end. Even tho we both had the same area code, I didnt have it saved in her contact info. I had her number as XXX-XXXX. Been that way for YEARS and never had an issue. I believe it was when I switched from Verizon to Fi. So I added the area code in front of her number to 916-XXX-XXXX and that fixed it.

Mmm it might be tower related. And probably because I moved basically after having a phone for a year, so I ended up having to add the area code in.
