I'm a huge fan of hockey and also play, but the owners can go **** themselves. Ive said to all my friends during the whole lockout that if their was a season this year that at least the first 5 games should be boycotted. Show the owners that without their fans the NHL has nothing.
Go out and support the local bars and restaurants by watching the games there, but do not buy a single ticket to watch a live game. Plus the fact that every year ticket prices keep going up.
True hockey fans will boycott. Bandwagoner fans will most likely attend

Been a couple of years and I can't remember the one I am thinking of right now, only it has a patio area surrounded by a beige wall w/ plenty of screens off of the main drag. There's also LGBC, BlueFin (Sake/Sushi, not sure if they got screens), San Pedro Square.

Plus, you would have to not watch the game at all in order to boycott. A huge chunk of the revenue is threw TV ad's. 'So grab some bud's' and enjoy the game.
I've heard first hand that the downtown businesses are missing the hockey attendance so I think a meet down there to watch a game is a great idea!
If in doubt, FLAT OUT

Former Sharks season tix holder but not anymore. Been a fan for almost the whole time they've been around because I love hockey and they are my home team. But if the Wings are playing, I will still watch and be on their side, except when they are playing us LOL.
