I got a text from my friend at 4AM with the news haha. Im so happy! Mostly because after football there'd be nothing to watch! (Basketball is so lame!) Plus I can take my baby girl to her first game this season.

But just like last year's NBA short season should the championship winners only get a half a ring?

Boycotting attending the first game sounds like an idea. But also we could help out the local restaurants and bars that we affected during the lockout.

I'm not spending a dime on NHL anything this season. I'm a sharks fanatic, but this is rediculous...

I wish I could stay away but im sure ill be at the first home game. I have followed the lockout like crazy and made a twitter account just to follow sportscasters and players as news unfolded. I knew last night negotiating was going late and first thing I did when I woke up this morning was check my twitter for updates and it was like xmas. I hated the lockout. I hate the greed behind it. But I love th game too much. I tried to counteract it with sf bulls/college games but its not the same I gotta get back to my sharks!

Ya know what man, that makes the most sense and it's what me and a couple buddies were just saying. We can go downtown after we all are off work, hit a bar w/ big screens, eat some decent food and watch the games there.

*Begin

Even though honestly none of us want to even watch this year. I was on the glass all of 1st Season courtesy of a Corporate Raffle we had that I won. Ever since if I can make a game I did, or would mostly give away tix or if they had to pay me back made it equivalent exchange. I lost my spirit for the entire game the past few years with all this b.s. because it reminds me too much about what pisses me off about baseball.

Maybe I'll attend a bar meet, but I certainly will not be paying for tix or attending any games this season. I'm sorry it offends some and affects the teams profitability but as fans we need to send a clear message that this whole deal is complete b.s. and this sort of thing is like watching Congress and the Senate hash out Fiscal Cliff talks.

Show me a good game and that the teams as well as the organizations care about the fans besides their own pocketbooks for a change.

i'm actually excited because the NHL playoffs is too long anywho. Having a shorter season and more playoffs is good for me. I think the NHL should rework their playoffs, it takes damn long to get through them all. Maybe make them into 6 teams. Less teams make the playoffs the better. Right now more then half of the teams in the NHL in each conference gets slotted into 8 spots.

I'd be down for this. Hit up a bar somewhere and post up for some games.
