Does that mean you get a free Slurpee if you buy a new Impreza on 7/11?

Subaru won't bump up HP so might as well make the Sti a hybrid and get 30+ mpg's out of it

As much as I hate that side profile pic, let's at least remember the 1st generation Impreza wasn't much of a looker, nor all that unique as well.

True. Also, current 2.5i sedan looks like poo from the side in pictures, but pretty nice in person. I think this car will be nice, 2 liter with good mileage will be great as long as they keep manual transmission as an option.

Yes, but back then all cars looked kinda meh. Today cars are much more aggressive from the factory. Even japanese cars. Compare the accord today to the accord from the 90s.

Ummm, this was the same era when the FD3S, Z32, RPS13, JZA80, etc. were all on the road.

I don't care too much how it looks. I just hope they come out with a wagon this time instead of a hatch.

That would get me interested in a trade.

Compare the 240sx to the G35. The G35 looks way more aggressive than car did back in the day.

... What about the RX8 vs. RX7? Or the... wait, Toyota makes nothing comparable to the Supra these days.
Besides, I think the G35 to 240SX comparison is a little apples to oranges. G35 versus R32 Skyline would more appropo.

People complaining about the Toyota-facation of Subarus must be forgetting about the era in which GM owned a portion of FHI You guys make me sad. The GD bodied cars were UGLY as sht IMHO and were a huge departure (downhill) from the ~2,800 lb. GC/GM/GF chassis cars. I personally think the '08+ hatch looks good, especially the '11 WRX and STi hatchback. I'm sure the WRX and STi variants of the new bodystyle will be damn nice.
