As much as I hate that side profile pic, let's at least remember the 1st generation Impreza wasn't much of a looker, nor all that unique as well.

True. Also, current 2.5i sedan looks like poo from the side in pictures, but pretty nice in person. I think this car will be nice, 2 liter with good mileage will be great as long as they keep manual transmission as an option.

Besides, I think the G35 to 240SX comparison is a little apples to oranges. G35 versus R32 Skyline would more appropo.

People complaining about the Toyota-facation of Subarus must be forgetting about the era in which GM owned a portion of FHI
You guys make me sad. The GD bodied cars were UGLY as sht IMHO and were a huge departure (downhill) from the ~2,800 lb. GC/GM/GF chassis cars. I personally think the '08+ hatch looks good, especially the '11 WRX and STi hatchback. I'm sure the WRX and STi variants of the new bodystyle will be damn nice.
