Well, see the problem there is, it's not the car you always wanted. It'll be a new heavier two door full of airbags and seat belts.

Nissan doesn't need a small sedan because they have the Sentra. Building a new 510 would make no sense buisness wise. Even if they don't build a sedan, just a coupe and a wagon, they'll just become Scion competition. Which is good, but not much money in it.

Now you want to know what I think? What Nissan needs to build?

Nissan needs to build a new 1600/2000 Roadster. A real Miata fighter. Something that you sit low and back. With the Spec V drive train and rear wheel drive it would be awesome. I would love to see what this guy can do for a concept of that.

 

agreed. That means that Mazda will have to answer back with a revised Miata........ Turbo rotary? I think I'll be in heaven.

No. Well. Not really. The new Silvia is supposed to have a better version of it. If it ever comes out.

 

I loved my 510, and would love to see a "neo" 510 built. but the chance of Nissan accually doing are slim to none.

Someday I'll buy another 72 510 wagon and put this in it.

1. Side angle looks a little like an 1980s BMW 3-series
2. Grille and headlights remind me of a skyline
3. Single exhaust would look much better.

 

The front of the 510 concept reminds me of the old Mazda RX-3. I would love to see those come back to life.
