Lightbulb 510 Meet: Wednesday 8-10 Westside lot at Rockridge BART

Hi. This meet is for everyone living in any of the cities in the East Bay and is closer to Oakland/Rockridge than Union City. The meet will take place in Oakland at the Rockridge BART station Wednesdays at 8-10 in the WESTside parking lot.

I'm thinking represented cities will be Albany, Alameda, El Cerrito, Berkeley, Oakland, San Pablo, El Sobrante, Hercules, and Pinole. (if I forgot to mention a suitable city just say so)

This meet is more organized, with refreshments served and a list of actual 'members.' We can use this organization to handle all sorts of things; e.g. group buys, etc.

let me see if I understand this. You are starting up a "new" Subaru meet that just happens to be at the same time and location as another meet that already exists?

Not really at the same exact time; the "new" one starts when the other one ends.

We have a mixture of WRXs and STIs and a few GC8s. Berkeley seems to be top-heavy with STIs so it helps to balance out the WRX-ratio. There's also someone with a modded Forester.

I am all up for a meet that's close to me, that's why Jon and I started the Berkeley Meet again, but why dont u just combine it with the Berkeley one? It is a lot easier to have one meet that goes from 8-10 then having two separate meets.

You can do whatever you want to do at the Berkeley meet also. The Berkeley meet is still open for all of East Bay, not just CAL people.

The point, Mark, is that the Berkeley meet gets associated mainly with CAL people, and whenever there's a holiday the meet is dead (i.e., since it's you and Jon that coordinated this thing, so whenever y'all go down to L.A., the meet goes down with you). I was hoping to start something that would develop into something like UCKK; there's certainly the potential in the region, so all it needs is the proper motivation.

that's fine. if you create a meet, then please combine it with the Berkeley one, we can change the name of it if you want. All I want is ONE uniform meet. You can work with me and Jon to make this more stablize.

I think that is a better approach.

LMAO! Yea, yesterday was a pretty slow day in the afternoon.....especially since alot of our customers have already taken the rest of the week off for Xmas break. So, needless to say.....I'll probably be bouncing around the forums again today, and tomorrow....then I have Friday and next Monday off! w00t! I should start a "thread for people stuck at work with nothing to do during the Xmas break." Imma go do that right now actually.

Exactly Mark! We wanted to eventually have our berkeley meet open to all people nearby, i think we could just combine them as well.
