Interesting. I wonder how far away the entire state is from the draconian anti-tobacco statutes in Belmont.

Not very far. Give it a few years and SF will have banned it too.

And just think, there were rumors that Cali was going to legalize marijuana a few years ago.

So instead of coming up with a decent budget or addressing real problems, the ****ers in Sacramento passed these BS laws.

Ah yes, because the entire state should only be doing one thing at a time. You're up in Sac, why didn't you go pressure them to do a decent budget, rather than just complain on i-Club.

Such ignorance....

You have no idea what I do politics-wise, other than what you read about me here on i-club.

And BTW, I'm in Roseville...not Sacramento.

I always find it amusing when people on forums make assumptions like that. "Why don't you do something about it then?" Well crap, maybe I am! Of course, that never occurs to the people that make statements like that.

Give it more time. For now though, at least it is treated very lightly.

Eh, I think those fines are just for money making purposes. Not too big, where people will mind too much, but small enough so they keep doing it over and over.

I think the idea of preventing accidents should have a bigger fine. Something around 200 and 500. It should be a greater fine than a cell phone on the ear because texting actually takes your eyes off the road (unless you're some pro texter without having to look at ur phone and sending message).
