Need diagnostics done...where?
Well, as previously posted, my car is experiencing an odd boost fluctuation. It's gotten better since my ECU reset, but I just want to be certain it's not a mechanical issue that needs to be fixed.
Problem: At full throttle boost goes to 18.5lbs (Per access port live boost reading) and then down to 14, then back up. This continues untill I ease off the throttle. If I gradually press on the gas it just boosts to 17lbs and holds steady (custom tune).
On Cobbs forum it was suggested it might be my Factory blow off valve, Vac lines, or waste gate.
I'd like to take the car to a Bay area mechanic/shop that can do a diagnostics and tell me if there's anything wrong with the above mentioned parts. I want to avoid dealerships,...well, because they suck. I know there are plenty of tuner shops, but where can I go for a diagnostics?
Thanks,
Chris

go to licmotorsports
Adam is very good @ diagnosing things
Once you go to LIC chances are you won't want to go elsewhere

They aren't a tuner/mechanic shop as they don't tune, all they do is work on subarus all day

If you were closer I'd hook my scanner up and check your monitors ready status, at least it would help point you in the right direction. What cel did your car bring up last time?

Normally I only let you guys touch my car. I've been there twice now already for tune ups and basic stuff. I'm located in Discovery Bay now (Had to get closer to work). I'm thinking I'm just going to have to make the drive up there...
I'm supposed to go up and see some family anyway. I guess I could kill to birds with one stone. I'm thinking we could diagnose one day,...then order parts if needed, I'll come back another day for installs? There's no way I'd be able to leave my car there over night. I'd be stranded. I'll get in touch with you.
