Nail in tire

I know this most likely belongs in the Tire forum, but the BAIC has more traffic so I thought my question would get answered faster here.

So I drove into work today and noticed I had a nail stuck in my tire. It's pretty much in a tread block on my tire, practically horizontally in there. Now my question is do you think I'll be all right just leaving it in there or should I go get some new tires? I don't think it will be able to be patched just based on the angle this nail is in there. So far no air has leaked out and I really don't want to get new tires since I feel broke since I just mailed off a $10,000 check to pay off my car.

What should I do?

As long as its holding air right now, I'd expect that it will either patch OK or not leak at all if its removed, a couple of times I've been scared by just a small piece of a nail, without much that you can't see.

You never really know how bad it is until you get inside and look, but sometimes the steel belts actually do their thing and effectively deflect metal intrusions from puncturing the carcass.
But if it turns into a slow leaker and you don't fix it, you can expect a catastophic failure, which might very well cost a lot more than a new set of tires if it happens at the wrong place and/or wrong time, whereas having a patch put in might set you back $25

well the tire was not able to be repaired, plus it was leaking, it dropped 15 psi so I ended up getting some new tires for my ride. I got Bridgestone G009 in 225/50/16 to replace my 225/50/16 Yokohammas AVS dB S2s. I'm a little dissappointed because I liked my Yokos but I think I'm just gonna order two new yoko's and put them on the back and put on my old yokos. I still have quite a bit of tread left and Steve at AutoInnovations said it shouldn't be a problem since I have so much tread left. If and when I get the yokos I'll put these tires up for sale. They are gonna be practically brand new so I'm only gonna look for like ~200 for all 4.
