Plug it, dont right it will stay in there for tens of thousands of miles. If you bought the tires with any sort of giuarantee, see if they offer puncture replacement. If you plug it, just be dilligent about checking your tire pressure for a while to make sure it stuck.

As long as it is in the center tread area Americans #1 tire plugs tires for free. even if they werent bought there.

If you consider it a performance tire, be sure the place that whoever repairs it uses a combination plug/patch. They will have to dismount the tire to repair it properly from the inside. As long as the hole isn't near the sidewalls, a plug/patch (is there a name for these) should last the life of the original tire.
You should buy your tires at americas tire co in redwood city, I got a tire in one of my side-walls at 500 miles and they gave me a brand new $150 tire for $30

You should get punctures repaired because they can cause more damage to the tire, and can cause your steel belts to rust, which can cause to major tire failure.
To the OP, what tires are you running? If they're just a daily driver set, I'd just get the tire fixed, if it's fixable. If they're more of a track set of tires, I'd recommend trying to prorate the tire and get a new one and put it in the front.
