so i drove the car 2 miles and it smoke started coming out today. So hopefully i can make it to Cpitol subaru tomorow cuz their the best

I upgraded my AAA's newest level of membership just so the free towing range would cover Monterey to Novato should the worst happen, god forbid...

well i believe he took it to EIP and i have heard other stories from that shop in the past that were scary..

 

definitely. when i painted my car.. next thing i knew i had a crack in my engine, my radiator was gone, my speakers were blown, and many many other things that just made everything so much more difficult. Be careful of where you take it to... some shops take it for test drives and mess around with your car. (that's what i bet the shop that painted my car did).

Well anywho, sorry your car's feeling under the weather and hopefully the same thing didn't happen to you.

 

updated:

turbo has shaft play
downpipe first cat melted and reamains fell in bottom cat
fuel pump toasted and havent opened up engine yet

 

so is this under warranty so far?

please update this thread with the blow by blow. I'm curious what exactly happened.

 

if your at capitol your car should be taken care of justin is a really great guy... ive taken my car to him for all my services hes a great kid...

thats funny that your first cat melted, i have a 07 sti and my first cat blew up and i was only running cobb stage 1 at the time, good luck. Once your car is fixed take it to Ed @Eqtuning imediatly for a real tune so that it wont happen again.

 

Wow, I'm sorry to hear it...I guess if the fuel pump failed, you were running lean and that could've cooked the cat...but that's unrelated to the turbo shaft play as far as I can see...
