Yeah, but this is exactly WHY everyone wants to work at Google. It's the perfect stepping stone job!
The working conditions at Google are pretty sweet! You work all day long and get great at your job because working at Google isn't generally as stressful or painful as it is at places like Apple, HP, IBM, etc.
And then after a few years you mature, grow up a little bit, and move on to a more adult and businesslike workplace, like IBM maybe.
