...prolly won't need chains if you're driving a AWD car hahaha...but if it's snowing at the time, expect a line at the chain station and slow going over the passes

They just wave you through if you're in a scooby. Make sure you have at least "all season" tires. Carry chains because you can get the one ***** that checks to see if you are carrying them.

I've never been stopped for chains yet, and one time I actually DID need 'em. I run my summer tires in the winter and I have found that if road conditions are sketchy to the point that I need to slow down on my tires, then the abundant traffic has already forced me to slow down to about 30MPH anyway.

I still always carry my chains, and that one time I did need 'em I got 'em. It's just not worth the risk.

I really want to go up this weekend but the combo of too much stuff happening and my tires being complete *** right now is stopping me. I think I'm gonna go next weekend even if it's looking like it might be a 'chocolate squishy' day.

even with the RE92s, i'd still carry 'em...

walmart has a liberal return policy... as long as YOU DONT USE THEM.

is $30-40 worth the headaches and $$$ in case you have an accident?

Wise man. Chains coule be $100+ and it would still be worth while to have 'em rather than dealing with turning around not beiong able to ride or getting into an accident even.
