The whole reason they have to submit like that to the government is because of anti-trust issues... the double click stolen from Apple, Tabbed browsing stolen from Mozilla (Firefox) etc etc
Microsoft has to steal steal steal just to suck like it does.. now imagine how bad they would suck if they didn't steal... I can't imagine such.

It wasn't a PC vs. MAC thread... was MICROSOFT... we use microsoft on MACs?
And its the truth. Microsoft products suck to no end. Period. Doesn't matter if you're on a Dell or an Apple... just suck.
I don't recall saying PCs suck at all in my comments so who is narrow minded? If I was building a gaming PC I'd build a PC no doubt. If all I did was web design I'd probably get a PC because you need to check all your work on the greatest common denominator anyways.
Vista sucks. Only thing worth a damn microsoft puts out is their laser mouses and that was purchased technology.
Sorry... I like PCs. My experience hasn't been good but I think they have their place. I think apples are superior in most areas. That's just my preference and my experience personally. When I got in to graphics professionally in 97' my folks talked me into investing in Dell because Apple wasn't the popular choice and you could get more for your money etc etc.
I spent over $7000 on that PC. Best of the best short of an SGI PC. 21 inch monitor. etc. PC is a twisted pile of 1's and zero's in the basement. Thing was almost worthless for anything. I picked up a crappy hand me down G3 to replace it with then a G4 my work let me "borrow." G4 is still useful... well was until the flood.
Basing your computer opinion on what happened at a school where computers are properly maintained and are messed with on a regular basis is stupid. Sorry dude. We had PCs when I was coming up through school that had more problems than the apples. Things were always down. And you should save your work every 15 minutes anyways. Shoot word does it for you.
you sound brainwashed.

Powerpoint is worthless. Much better software available.
Word. sucks.
Excel. terrible.
etc.
etc.
Do I use it... yes. because I have to.
Would I prefer using something else. Hell yes but my clients need their presentations in word even though I could give them something 10 times cooler and easier to use and more stable using something else.
Just like Illustrator and freehand. MANY people will tell you Freehand is the better software or even Corel Draw but illustrator is the norm... because MORE PEOPLE USE IT. Doesn't mean its better.
That's like saying the civic is a better car than the phantom because its the best selling car and you see it more often.
Come on now charlie. cereal.

far as i know, apple IS overpriced. you give me a budget and ill come up with a system that will be faster than any mac u can come up with within the same budget. I've had a 900 dollar gaming system for a whole year now, hasnt failed me yet. I'd like to see what pretty box u get for that with a apple.
Vista sucks? Apple uses Vista too. Vista = sucks then apple = sucks too ?
"I can tell all those PC snobs that have talked crap for the last 10 plus to STFU" nah not narrow minded at all, i dont recall any comments from you on how microsoft is worthless "the end" and apple is "superior".. speaking of brainwashed.
$7000 on a pc, thats useless?? Youre full of it. Like I said, give me a budget and with that ill build a system, and you can do the same for a mac and we can compare it spec to spec.
We all have our opinions and there should be nothing more than a discussion about it. I was only defending the "bias PC freaks" as you call them over a tread that wasnt started by one.

Mac uses Vista?
You can install it on a Mac, if you were so inclined, but it sure as hell doesn't come with it. I have XP on mine just in case I need to update my AccessPort or watch a Netflix movie on Explorer.
Besides, this is about Microsoft software, not your $900 pc and not his G4 Apple.

just because it sells doesn't mean its good. Reason it sells so well is because PC's take up over 90% of the marketplace. PC's run microsoft. Its the most widely used. People are comfortable with it. They don't want to change. It's not going to change anytime soon so Microsoft hasn't bothered with going postcript or doing any true upgrades to the software in the last 10 years. They don't have to spend the money so why should they. This means that microsoft is old outdated crap. There are MUCH better solutions available but they won't become the "norm" any time soon if ever. Microsoft has a strangle hold on that market.

The Microsoft bundle is great, it gets things done, people use it and yes, there are alternatives, but it is the most widely accepted. I would say it's more like gas. Yes, it's like California 91 octane gas, it sucks, but hey, it's good enough to run our cars. We'd much rather have 93, but that's not available here and not as readily accepted. Ok, that was a pretty bad comparison too.
All I'm saying is - it's a great bundle of software. Instead of having to hunt out multiple items, it's much easier and more convenient to have it in a suite of sorts.
