Mavericks anyone?
It will be my first time seeing it for real. I guess i'll have to buy some binoculars.
I haven't surfed for more than a year. I used to surf in Huntington Beach (LA) and other surrounding surf spots.
Anyone up for a lunch meetup?

Snowboarding gets my need to surf out. Plus I don't think my 3/2 suit really fits me now and I don't think it's thick enough for up here. I used to surf, Seal Beach, Bolsa Chica, Huntington and San Onofre.
I haven't surfed in years either. Both my boards are in my garage.

And no, not OC native (or Cal native for that matter.) I spent a couple years in LA (in the valley) after moving from SD for my first job. Moved here to the bay area last year for another job.

Bolsa Chica is the **** lol, but too much work to get back to the line after riding a wave all the way.

The most work I spent for a wave was by far San Onofre. I longboard anyway, so it's fun for me there. But damn, the paddle out was one of the longest ever. We finally stopped going to the north side of the power plant and started hitting the south side where the camp grounds are. Park and walk down the mountain. The rocks on the beach in the breakers were hell on your feet. Black and blue like crazy. But not nearly as much of a paddle and almost always was less crowded than the other side.

yeah i've come across a few douches and wannabes in HB. But it's a great break by the peer and can get crowded.
Fortunately I only went there with a group of friends.

To Sigma_Pi:
I effing hated LA, what a cluster f***. Couldn't wait to get out of there. so SD>LA any day any time anywhere
If I had my way I'd be in SD (no offense
), but I love it here with all the nature (state parks, the fantastic coast...) and different towns. And SF is my wife's favourite city, and she's an LA native.
