The Phillies are in what you would discribe as their "inevitable" midseason slump, but remember, they didn't fully heat up until September/October last year. As far as pitching, Kershaw will eventually be the best pitcher in the NL, given enough time on the mound. Could happen this year, but then again maybe not. Just saying, being in the playoffs can do wonders for a young pitcher's career. Also, between Tronosco and Broxton... there's a reason why the Dodgers have lost so few games. The pitching is just fine. I don't feel like going into depth about the rest of the pitchers, but let's just say I'd rather have the Dodgers rotation than the Giants to say the very least.

As for the roid taint... for one I don't recall ever hearing that it was specifically a steroid that they found (I'll accept being wrong if there are facts to the contrary), and for another, everyone hated Bonds because HE was a douchebag. There are many people that are not involved with the LA-SF rivalry that agree with me on that. Accepting Manny back won't make me a douchebag, any more than you being accepting of Bonds makes you one also.

Kershaw has a long way to go to catch Cain and Lincecum, a long way. And a sub 13-22 record at home is not a slump, that's just not good baseball, that is roughly the same as the cellar dwellar Washington Nationals. Would you really rather have the Dodgers rotation than the best rotation in Baseball? Are you kidding me? What are you smoking and where did you get it? There isn't a sane person in the world that would rather have the Dodgers staff over the Giants staff, not a single person. The reason the Giants are 5 games over .500 and tied for the NL Wild Card is due to their pitching, it is unparalled in baseball right now. We have last year's Cy Young winner, a guy who is pitching out of his mind right now in Cain, who yes does have the same record as Kershaw, but look at the ERA's, Cain is 2.28, Kershaw is at 3.76, that is a difference of almost 1.50.

They did find a steroid, and the difference is I wouldn't boo Manny and throw syringes at him. What makes you a douchebag is that you are a hypocrite who villified Bonds for the same thing you are forgiving Manny for. You obviously dont know what you are talking about when it comes to baseball.

I don't think I ever said that Kershaw was everything RIGHT NOW, but that given time he will be there. Think about it, the fact that he's even CLOSE to Cain at his age is phenominal, and with maturity (which he shows more of every time I see him pitch) he'll be fantastic. Sandy Koufax gave the guy his vote of confidence. That means more to me than his current ERA.

As for Bonds, I hated him before we knew he was juiced. The guy's a straight up a$$hole, and the 'roid thing just put it over the edge. Everyone's sick of his ****, except for you, apparently.

Whatever, he was angry at what he percieved as the Giants turning their back on him once he was of no use to them.

Prove he lied.

Cain was better when he was 21, Cain just wasn't getting run support. Cain is only 24 so your "at his age argument" is worthless. I dont think there is anyone who knows anything about baseball that would right now take Kershaw and Billingsley, the Dodgers best 2 pitchers, over Lincecum and Cain, the Giants best 2 pitchers.

Say what you want about Bonds, he is still the greatest player of his generation, juiced or not.

A Roid is a different generation, plus he hasn't won 8 gold gloves and 5 MVP's. I would rather have Bonds in his prime than A-Roid, plus A-Roid sucks in the post season and I can't get the image of him slapping the ball out of Bronson Arroyo's glove like a little ***** in the 2004 ALCS out of my head. And yes, Griffey would have been better had he been able to stay healthy, but he didn't so he wasn't. Im not speaking in hypotheticals, Im speaking in terms of actual on field production.
