maaco paint job?
maaco is ok.. you should just pay for their most expensive step. which is just about 2k lol. there are many shops around the bay that will do a better job and maybe cheaper.
I put their 399 job (back when I did it it was only like 199) on a VW I built, its not a bad paint job. Pay the extra for the door jambs, prep the crap out of the car yourself first, and pay for the clear coat, it will last 7-10 years.

What he said. I took my Legacy there about 5 years ago. Decent paint job, but thier prep work sucks. Didn't cover up my grill so they painted over my Hellas parts on my windows and headlamp had overspray. If your considering this place, definitely do your own prep work. Here's my Legacy when I had it done.
I did remove just about every part I could to reduce costs and have them do a better job. I also had a bunch of extra parts I wanted painted. I'd like to think it worked out haha
If in doubt, FLAT OUT

If it were a beater or a track car maybe, but if you're expecting excellent quality, you're going to be disappointed.
Their not bad if you need to do a section of the car, but for a complete repaint, save and go else where.
I've used them for a complete car job and just hood/fender job and the latter turned out better and lasted longer. Could just be their craftsmenship....
