Looks like the Corvette guys have discovered meth...
john hennessey is a thief and it makes make angry every time i see his name in a car mag. Road & track should be ashamed for all the ***-kissing they do of him
a lot of people have come out of the woodwork with similar stories of having components of their cars sold off and having falsely advertised packages installed on their cars.

2006 z06's are starting to get below $40k
it's pretty crazy when you take into account the track performance and also relative exclusivity of the C6 z06
Granted any owner will need to spend time to learn how to drive it, but we're talking about a car that has similar track performance to any supercar
I don't think the Z06 and GTR can be put into the same league either - it's really apples to oranges, the GTR seems far more expensive to maintain. You break the engine or tranny on the GTR vs. a Z06 - compare the cost to rebuild them (worst case you can spent $1000 and stick a vette shortblock into the z06 right?)
Basically, of all these sub-$50k bargains the z06 is the only true bargain. All the other options (like 996 911 turbo, Viper, several Mercs and the '06 M5/M6) even though you can afford the car without a six-figure salary you'll be ****ed if you break it. Not the Chevy...

I don't mean to put off an air of hatred towards the gt-r or any other car. I'd love to have one. It's just in this day and age (and economy) I know I wouldn't be able to afford one

Dude you can buy a 2002-2004 Corvette Z06 (405HP) for less than $30K... put another $5K into mods (ECM tuning, shocks, a little brake work) and you have a daily drivable 180MPH 1+G on the skidpad beast

true, the GNX guys are the first to use alky. I mean the guy who makes SMC meth kits had been doing them for buicks for years
But outside of the buick crowd I hadn't heard of WI/meth/alky until recently for domestics
