Looking for a new car

I like my wagon, but my son is getting too tall and needs more leg room than we can give him. I'm looking at a Legacy GT wagon, first gen CTS-V, or maybe a Cherokee SRT-8. Anyone know of some good deals in the local area? Decent size back seat, preferably a manual, AWD or RWD, enough power to make it interesting to drive? My other option is to get a boring car for family stuff, and something more interesting but cheap for me. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I'm surprised your son needs more room, I am 6'3 and I can fit in the back of a 07 wagon.

However, the Legacy GT seems like it would be a good choice, they're pretty quick, I can fit in those pretty easily, and I love AWD in the mountains during the winter.

My family has had two Jeep Grand Cherokees, and one blew up, and the newer ones' (2005) rear end went out twice on it, so I do not recommend Jeep from my personal experience. CTS-Vs are nice but I think they cost a bit more than other options.

Just my take on it.

Yes, but there's no way you could sit behind yourself and be comfortable. My brother has an '08 and it would be OK for short trips, but anything longer and it's just not big enough.

I say this because I'm in the same boat. We're looking at a new Outback or Forester because they can finally fit four six-foot-plus people in relative comfort. What I wouldn't do for a 2011 Legacy GT wagon .

Yeah, the problem is my wife and I are both 5'10", and for him to be ok, we need the seats moved up too much for our tastes.

Dang, that sucks. Well, I guess go sit in some cars and see what works best, then.

Yeah. I've been looking around, and can't seem to find much locally. The bad part of buying out of state is not being sure if it'll pass stupid emissions here.
