Same here...
I'm also looking for a car alarm as well...I'd like the Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 with the 2-Way remote....the biggest concern I have is if the shop does good work...I've noticed that it depends on how the installer feels that day or if you have some sort of hook up at the place you get the alarm or audio equipment installed. Another thing is...if the shop does do good work...they most likely will charge you up the a$$ for their labor...which you could have gotten clean work done from the cheaper place if the installer is having a good day and decides to clean his $h*t up while installing. So all in all...does anyone know...a decent place to buy an alarm at a decent price and install it clean?

I paid $180 for a crimestopper with remote starter, dual zone shock sensors, grass breakage sensor, and starter kill.

All alarms are the same thing pretty much, they all have the same basic features.

If someone wants to mess with your car, they will still do it, if they want to steal your car, they will get around your alarm, I got mine simply for the remote starter..
