Hey

I have the stock Subaru Alarm in my car, and i want to upgrade it to an alarm with 2 way notification. U know, one of those alarms with the LCD remote, that tells if ur car alarm is going off.

i have a few questions.

1. which alarm is best to get?
2. anyone have the stock wiriing diagram for the stock subaru alarm?

If you would like upgrade to a better alarm with 2 way paging. There are a few alarms out there that offer this function. There are two "name brand" alarms that I recommend. One is the Clifford Matrix rsIII. and the other is the DEI viper 790x (models #'s might not be exact, im going off the top my head). Those are pretty much the same alarm, just two diffrent named. Clifford is owned by DEI so no worries.

haha the clifford one sucks. if you want "brand name" get the compustar and the dei viper mentioned above. the compustar is cheaper than the viper.

I have never heard of compustar. Might wanna do research on that one. The Clifford alarm is again, the exact same alarm, no diffrent whatsoever with the exception of the name on the box. It is a DEI 790.

i dunno if its really big in the states but in canada its the perferred one over the clifford and the viper. and no research is needed it is realiable and has all the functions a viper has. its by first tec or somethin like that.

one more thing. compustar was the first alarm company with the 2 way pager/alarm/starter

the only way u can get the compustar alarm is through a compustar dealer

does anyone have the wiring diagrams for the 2003 Rs?? i think im gonna get the hornet 554t, my friend has it and it works awesome!

i just need the wiring diagram to see if i could pull off the insall by myself... or else ill just save the time and have someone put that bad boy in

when did viper buy out clifford? that's strange since they are sister companies.
