Even if it's less than 10 inches, you can still send it in. They wouldn't be able to use it to make wigs for the kids, but they can sell it to companies that make wigs for men, which don't need hair more than 10 inches. That way, the organization can make a little bit of money through the sale.

sorry everyone, chris

It's been tough having this mass of hair, so I understand that some of you may not be able to continue with this. However, I will go on. It will be really tough with these next few days of almost triple-digit temperatures. Not only is the heat tough to deal with, but the looks that I get in some professional meeting have been discouraging also. Nevertheless, I will continue and not give up. Now that I am seven months into it, my hair is still not long enough to tie into a presentable ponytail. A bit of consolation is that my family and I have received pledges totaling $96.50 per inch of hair we donate. If we donate 10 inches each, we will be sending a check worth $965 along with the hair to Locks of Love. My goals is to hit $100 per inch, so if any of you want to help, it would be greatly appreciated! By the way, I am still trying to take a pic of my pathetic ponytail to post on here.
