Enterprise has insurance coverage on all their cars, so they would just get it repaired legitimately or get a salvage title. The most likely thing is the guy who sold it to you welded it himself and never reported it.

I'd take the money he offered and run (and then flag any of his CL postings if he doesn't report the damage)

Yeah, how did this automatically become enterprise's fault? is it possible that the guy crashed it and tried to fix it?

yeah, me too and they never asked to see the car or anything.

The car was sold at auction with 20k on it, and never re-registered. Second the mileage it was sold to him at, and then to me doesnt really allow much driving at all. I bought it at 21k.

He also told me that he bought the car with the rear quarter damaged and that he himself replaced it. That in itself is way over $700 in damage. He right there incriminated Enterprise.

this sort of looks like this gonna turn into a blame game between enterprise, the seller, and the auto shop that did the crappy work.
