Ok, Im currently working on a sale I work at a privately owned company all has been good but today I noticed something, When we got some inventory in about 2 months ago I was told we got each unit for, if I remember around 75 cents, now I made a sale of 10,000 units and sold each unit for about 2bux, heres whats buggin me after I make the sale my boss tells me he got em for $1.75. I feal like im being played! ahhh am I protected by any type of "sales man" law or sumthing like that? do I have the right to question my authorities(boss)?

Legally, I think you are up **** creek this time, however in the future make sure they disclose in writing the price they purchase certain items at. That way if it ever comes down to it, you can take that information to court and say "your honor the paperwork clearly states these units were bought at cost X, and I resold them at Y. I was not compensated accordingly."

What if you prove to your boss that he screwed you over, then what?
He'll either fire you, or say "tough schitt", and you quit.
Don't work for dishonest bosses unless you're "in" with them...

from reading all the replies it sounds like u have a problem,, however, do u have a problem?? is your boss upset with u?? its not stated above. did u make no profit from the $2500 left over. and if u are selling 10,000 units of anything u should definately know the cost per unit..... their is no law that will help u if it turns out the original invoice was 1.75 per unit.... u just made a mistake and should take responsibilty for that...

Sales is a tough gig. At my job the so called "tracking" software does not record all of my sales interactions. Guess how long they've been "fixing" it?
Three years! I am gratefull I get a base salary however.
Funny how they can track my on phone time, vacation time, sick time, how many times I scratch my self, etc. Yet when it comes to my bonus money. There is some glitch.
