About a year ago I had my Civic Si stolen, I settled with my insurance and bought my WRX. During end of year clean-up I found a little contract that was from auto-nation for a limited theft protection program. It is for $5k and has a 5 year guarantee. I called them and they said I only have 45 days after my claim settles to make good on this contract.

I went ahead and submitted the paperwork for the claim since I am still in my 5 year guarantee period. On my car contract, this protection program is only listed as an "accessory" so if I was looking at the car purchase contract I wouldn't know I had this theft protection. It was just by chance I found the theft protection contract.

I was just wondering if there is anything I can do about the 45 days thing. the 5k would be nice
