Unhappy I need Urgent Help!~ Plz answer question ty.

Hi i was looking for new wheels and wanted to go wider.. i had rota subzeros (18x7.5, bought it used) for a while and i dont like that it is a bit narrow... I was looking at the 18x8 p45f's but i wanted to go even wider, something like 18x9.. The problem is that i have stock suspension (looks ugly without the car lowered, or might have some problems or something)..would i need a camber kit? i was wondering if 18x9s would fit the car without any problems.. And also what tire size you guys would recommend.. Sorry for the noob question, but i need urgent help.. Admins, please don't remove until I recieve some help.. Any advice would be helpful.. THANKS A BUNCH~!

you might be able to get away without having to roll or pull fenders since your on stock suspension but then again it does depend on what offset and once you do lower your car on coilovers or springs you are going to have to roll your rear fenders but again depends on what offset you are getting it.

You might rub the shock assembly or you might rub the fender. It really depends. I am running 235/40/17's on a 17x7.5's. That actually rubbed in front a little. My rears are rolled and I am on coilover set-up.

I tried out a set of 245/40/17 on a 17x8's. We were worried that the wheels and tires might touch the coilovers, so we ran a 3mm spacer. It actually didn't. But yeah... those are somethings to consider.

Rubbing on the fender, or rubbing on the shock assembly.

What Anthony said. It depends. Trial and error.

There are two I-Club vendors that I know. Actually 3. That can roll fenders.

AutoHQ has a fender roller. Same with LIC and Mach III. Now... if you want to pull them, Mach III can pull fenders. Talk to Henry (dunnojack). I am not sure AutoHQ does fender pulling. You can ask though.

dont forget that when you do roll or pull your fenders you are taking risks of cracking, chipping and possible flattening your ffender. but if the shop is really good with doing it then you should give it a shot. autohq does fender rolling and you can pm brandon (autohq) to ask about the pull.

Ryan's car which is featured in Wheeldude.com, has the 18x9 g-forces but his looks really nice with great suspension set up..I have no coilovers, i just wanted to kno if it would be okay with stock ride height without any problems.. if i 'might' run across some problems, ill just get the 18x8's with 235/40/18's .. Anyone have stock suspension with this set up ? I just wanted to get some new shoes for the car first, and then suspension afterwards.. i would worry about the fender rolling/pulling once i plan to lower my car.. Sorry for the repeated dummy questions and Thanks for the help.

you will most likly get away with the stock suspension but durning turns your car will lean and tilt which may cause rubbing on turns. and ryna has camber on his. not sure how much but its also a factor in how wide you wanna go and how low.

you might wanna just try 17x8 or 18x8. go conservative. if you go big and come across rubbing issues, you'll have to spend even more money for suspension and having to deal with adjusting camber and rolling your fenders. it can get complicated and you'll end up spending more than you want...

18 x 7.5 wheels are for pimps!

but seriously, them new SUPERSIZE Rotas are selling like hotcakes and why not? they look mighty nice and stuff the huge WRX/STi fenderwells nicely for very reasonable prices. just remember to make sure you have the extra go fast goodies to offset the extra lbs. of those wheels. i dunno what they weigh, but i'm assuming at least a few lbs more than stock per rim. bigger tires probably add on to that too.
