just got pulled over leaving wingstop state ref !
WTF? I was leaving the wingstop meet driving 30 mph in a 35mph zone. I got pulled over. The cop tells me hes pulling me over for modified exhaust. I was like WTF? I asked him if my exhaust was too loud and he said "no". By the way I have a greddy evo2 (the quietest exhaust ever) I was keeping the revs low I think I was in like 3rd gear too. So i asked him what the problem was, he said i was getting pulled over for modified exhaust/ it not being stock! then he asked me if I had any other mods. I said "all I have is the Subaru spt intake its made by subaru". He pops my hood. looks at my car and says you dont have the carb sticker.....
I was like $hit I forgot to put it on, but its legal. I sell them all the time at work, I work at the Subaru parts dept.
So I get a ticket to go to the state ref. lucky me.
I was like hey aren't all the state ref's closed?
He said yeah but you can still schedule an appointment.
after he was done giving me my ticket he tells me he knows how I feel and hes been through all this before. he tells me "I used to have a 2001 Honda civic lowered, with a body kit and exhaust, that's why I don't have it anymore"

cliff notes: I hate cops who have nothing better to do.
time for bed I have to be in at work at 8am.

I also got pulled over and got a state ref. BAIC, I feel profiled. They tried to get me for everything, but eventually couldn't tell what they were looking at after looking at my oil catch can, oil catch can hoses, fuel pressure sending unit, turbo timer, and defi control unit. Their reasoning: non-certified hoses.
My ticket is by Officer Singleton. Non-correctable modified exhaust and correctable CVC smog violation. Back has a state ref sticker. I think a few more people got pulled over - we all got busted as we were leaving.
There were 4 patrol cars that were at my scene - I thought that was rather excessive and they also made me feel very uncomfortable.

s few made it out ok, some of us went through downtown and got followed but made it out ok. i too say profiling. we were all eating dinner and we are not street racing. i am sorry you guys got busted. please let me know if the rest of you are ok and made it out. i say the meet is now dead as far as i am concerned.

Last week my gf told me the cops at starbucks were talking about the "street racers " at Wingstop.

I totally lucked out. I drove past the cops that pulled over 3 cars, while heading toward taylor. If I remember right it was the 240, anthony, and peter. A cop in front of me busted a U on taylor, but he headed back in the wing stop direction.
They just waited for people to leave to pull them over. There must have been 5-8 cop cars patrolling that area. It was a really bad night to go to the wing stop meet.
