I would fight to get your money back. You bought the car " Certified Used ". Certified means its in top shape and in OEM condition. Yours had an aftermarket exhaust so i dont know how they sold it to you as Certified Used.
I use to work for a dealership in service and every car that was sold as Certified Used had to be in oem perfect condition.
I would tell the dealership you want the number and name of the factory rep for that dealership.
DOnt let them screw you on your floor mats or keys.
Reading this pisses me off aswell. Ive had a few service problems with those dealerships. You just have to be forceful.

Sounds to me like Capitol is pulling a fast one. I would contact SOA and file a direct complaint, listing all the "hinky" things they are doing.

Damn, $36k for a USED '08 STI? That's nuts. In November 2008, I was offered a brand new '08 STI for less than $30k OTD with 0% interest for 5 years, this was when I went to test drive the '09 FXT. The salesman thought I'd enjoy the STI more by the way I was driving I guess?

As far as both Capitol and Stevens Creek, I only purchase parts from either one using the i-club discount.

Ya, that's what the MSRP base price is since 08. IIRC the special edition started at about 32k.

So making $8,000 isn't "making enough money on the car"? BTW, for next time, NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER trust a car salesman to put something on a "due bill". Do NOT EVER, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES sign the final paperwork without a SIGNED DUE BILL IN YOUR HAND. There is not ONE car salesman anywhere in the WORLD who is HONEST enough to give you a damn thing after the final paperwork is signed - because that's the way they make their money.

True, except that I was the one salesman that was nice enough to do stuff for all my customers to keep them happy. Then again, I never sold shady equipment.

I've said Capitol sucks for years, I'm glad the roar of the 3 fanbois has calmed so people can see what they're really like.

So I got a PM today from Justin at Capitol Subaru. He said that the thing about signing a contract that I would take my car anywhere else was just a joke.

I am going to go in there and see if they will sort out the issue with the key and floor mats on Tuesday like he requested. I want to believe that it will be taken care of, but my experience so far leads me to expect the same service I have already gotten.

I will be taking my car to GST on Monday to have them check it out as I would like a independent opinion. I am still very worried that the car was previously stage two (for 19k miles) before I got it.

Should I find any issues, I am not really sure where I will end up taking it.
