Start date: July 20 (flexible within 3-5 days)
End date: October 14 (flexible within 3-5 days)
Location: Boston, MA; traveling nationwide
Description: Oxfam—an international anti-poverty and development organization dedicated to creating long-lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice—is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to travel with Coldplay this summer/fall and coordinate Oxfam’s activities at each concert.

The primary responsibility of the volunteer coordinator is to organize teams of 10 volunteers to recruit audience support for the Make Trade Fair campaign at each of the 36 US concerts over a 2 month period. Logistical support will be provided by the trade campaign organizer in the Boston office.
The internship begins July 20 and ends October 14 (dates are flexible within 3-5 days). The volunteer coordinator will travel with the Coldplay crew for all concert dates from August 4 through September 30, and spend 1 to 2 weeks before and after the concert tour in Oxfam’s Boston office for preparation and wrap-up. Travel is by tour bus, and overnight lodging will be in hotels with the rest of the crew.
The volunteer coordinator must be willing to work long days and late hours.
Travel and communication expenses will both be paid, in addition to the intern’s stipend.

¨ Be familiar with Oxfam’s work
¨ Be comfortable traveling for two months straight
¨ Have knowledge of trade issues, poverty issues and the Make Trade Fair campaign
