Thanks for the detailed description on how to cook a burger, and to think I was wrong all these years and how stupid I was for thinking how deliecious the burgers I cook are, I mean clearly they couldnt be as good as whoever that douchebag is who thought it was necessary to describe in detail how to make a burger.

No. And you should thank me for that. Who needs to wait in a 30min. drive-thru line so some pimple-faced kid wearing an apron held in place by a giant safety pin can serve you a sub-par 1/8lb. burger?
Besides, if you're going to take the time to go to In 'n Out, order a burger, take it home, cook up some bacon and put it into your burger, you might as well have made a better burger at home to begin with.

You're right! What an idiot am I. Why in the hell would I cook my own burger at home when I can just cook up some bacon, get in my car, drive to the In 'N Out, place my order, wait 15min for it to be done, and then whip out my pocket-bacon and slap it onto my burger. Mmm....delicious pocket-bacon.
You should calm down dude... we're talking about burgers... Maybe you need to lay off the crack?

What are you referring to?
The 30min wait? I was exaggerating a bit, but you ever go to the one off of Millbrae or the one in Mercado? They take forever.
The pimply faced kid? Um, at any In-N-Out?
The 1/8lb patty? They may have been 1/4lb BEFORE being cooked, but because the quality (or lack thereof) of the meat, I'd be surprised if you didn't lose half of that weight after cooking.
The giant safety pin? It's part of the uniform.

Not to many fatburgers around... and In/Out RIPS. So damn good.
I mean I dig a good burger. Fatburger. Nations. Etc. But there's just something about In/Out when you're on your way back from snowboarding or what not.
I love In/Out.

That's the one I was referring to. They do get busy, but according to people I know who have worked there, drive-thru takes priority, so when going to in-n-out, go drive thru

I love to cook, and always appreciate tips - regardless if I already know the whats and hows. Sounds like KYoung likes his food. Nothing wrong with that. Alton Brown is a great source of solid fundamentals for making tasty dishes...
And my offerings to the foodies on the board: this great video/info site - some great, helpful vids. You'll dig it, KYoung...
