I'll do it myself fuel leak
I contacted and made an appointment with Diablo Subaru. Service manager says that inspection fee is $140, but will be absorbed by the Subaru if the problem is caused by the recall. By the way it's not a recall, but extended warranty of fuel system. Code name is Wvk21. He ran my vin # and wvk21 showed up.
So, I'll update this. My appointment is this Friday. Tech most likely have to change many hoses including inlet. I don't mind paying for necessary or broken parts along the way - since I would like to get another 100K miles out of my bugeye before major build up or new car.
But what I'm afraid is horrible reviews on most of the dealers. Yelp's rate/review on Diablo Subaru is just horrid. I'm still wondering I might have better outcome if I do the fix myself.
Yes, I do realize we have great local subaru shops such as EQ, GST, LIC,... but I'm going to the dealer because it supposed to be under warranty.
I'll update this later for local bugeye who haven't done this yet.

Here is update.
So, my Rex is at Subaru Diablo at this time. I was concern regarding their service being poor per Yelp review. I was/am ready to spend some cash for the repair since I really didn't want to kill my back doing the work myself, but was hoping some of it going to be covered by the extended warranty on it's fuel system.
So far, I'm very much satisfied. They have a new service adviser Darrell. He has great communication skill and respectful. He said that the repair going to be covered by the warranty. He also said that he is going to communicate with the manager to cover my old turbo inlet to be replaced under warranty as well. Awesome.
Conclusion, if you have warranty work Darrell is man to talk to. As for real repair, I'm going to wait a few days to get my car back - so can't say about the real fix yet. But so far, the service adviser has been really great.
I'll update once I get the car back.

Today, 01/26/13, I got my car back. Took them 2 and 1/2 week due to broken hoses. I think total of 9 hoses including turbo inlet, intercooler Y pipe, other PVC and evaporator hoses. They are all paid under warranty. I just signed and thank them and left. Almost, feel guilty for paying nothing for all those parts. My car is like new under the hood.
Service/customer service is A+ for Darrell. Actual work itself, also A+. Did very clean job. No smell of fuel and everything put back together as they should be. No significant increase in mileage (test drive) on the odometer. Free car wash.
Conclusion, don't hesitate to take your car there for warranty work. No BS and straight up warranty coverage done correctly.

I had a small issue yesterday. Got a cell light of P0457. Looks like tech left off one small hose to PCS. Simple fix; reconnect the hose, but I can't reach it. I think I'm going to remove my alternator 1st to make some room. Simple fix though. Still did clean job though if that's the only issue. I still like all those new hoses they replaced.

Holy ****! Did they have to ship stuff from SoJ/FHI? I cannot be down for 2.5 weeks w/o my car. even a week would be tough. Thanks willow for the update. I may PM you for more deets if you dont mind.
Or whenever/wherever I have it done, have them order the same parts you got, to be ready in case mine need replacement. Or go to carlsen Subaru.
Thanks!

^^^ I think you might have hard time convincing any dealers to buy parts prior to diagnosing and seeing the car under warranty. But you could still ask him.
For me, they ordered fuel kit and turbo inlet after diagnosing the problem. Other hoses after working on the car. I was expecting that much of waiting time since they didn't have all those parts in stock (I called parts department before I made an appointment).

Yeah that sounded dumb...
Meant that I'd pay for parts to be in stock and labor to install. Them if deemed a soa warranty, they reimburse me. It'd be worth it to either have new parts done at same time and/or not have car down 3 weeks
Will update
