i like rosie's for the good service and chicken sandwich, not the faux irish atmosphere, agreed if want close to english food the britania is a better choice
unfortunatly no beans and toast or proper chipsngravey at britania, and the beer selection has taken a dive since the strongbow/beamish drop a few years back.

i didnt know that about 99 bottles! dreck, guess ill be skipping it.

yea its a bit gritty at the boardwalk but it can be fun and cheap.

I'm sure 99 bottles will get it together.

I still want to get my 99 bottles plaque. Want to do it in 2 days with 4 guys. Or alone in a month. 1776 rips...

I still like the brit. My brother plays a couple tunes down there every thursday night with Larry.

sadly the soquel brit is probably the worst one I've been too...monterey's is incredible.

Dont take your **** out at the dinner table. Aparently they dont like that.

First off, how old is she? If she can and does drink you need to look at different options, some girls can run up a quick bar tab.

A brewery is great place I think. First, because I'm comfortable there. Secondly, they're usually really laid back with good food. And third, if a chick won't drink beer you don't want to be around her.

not that I've had too much experience with 1st dates, but it does seem like spending a lot of money at a fancy restaurant and something like rock climbing would be too over the top, low profile would be better. Fancy&expensive dinner+rock climbing=Blind Date episode

Rock Bottom is a great place, plus they got Octoberfest beer right now. If you want a good Italian place that is low-key but a great place, try Fiorello's in Santa Clara.
