Hey Sac guys, need some advice...

I'm driving up from the Bay Area Friday to take a friend out on a date. We're starting with the Rivercats game at 7 but I am clueless for what to do after that.

Any good ideas? We're not big into clubs and such - more of the dive bar/pub type. Some ideas I've heard include hanging out in Old Town along the river or something about the state fair being in town.

Any help would be killer - thanks all!

 

state fair blows. there are many fine estabalishments downtown that would be awesome.

food type?

Good to know about the fair.

$$ is no biggie, however we're both not very flashy. I would guess a bit more quiet would be better as we'll be at a baseball game all night. No real food preference either. Any activities to do other than sit down and eat food?

Also: dinner theater on the delta king http://www.deltaking.com/ is cool, but they dont do it very often. its one of those murder mystery dinners only it doesn't suck.

 

Back Door Lounge is a cool dive bar in Old Sac. Sometimes they have karaoke or live music too.

Take her to Chip and Dales. That's what I do with all my first dates to let them know I mean business

 

Go to R15. Lots of stuff going on, pool tables, TVs, etc.

 

I actually agree... Pretty nice place, be sure to dress nice though if you plan on getting in on a fri/sat

 

firehouse....sister got married there. their duck is pretty good

i'll have to check that r15 place out next time i'm up there.

 

Just take her to the train museum and stick it in her caboose.
