If you're going to say that a team like the packers are kick ***, cause they made it to the play offs, then the Raiders, and Niners are right there with them... So, please, don't put down BA sports teams. Sharks do fairly well. Warriors, well, aren't they doing pretty good this year?? Raiders and Niners are pretty solid teams.

Yes, raiders screwed up, and were pretty much raped... royally. They did not prepare, they did not try much at all.

Rioting is not cool. I don't consider some rioter a raider fan, a fan of football.

Gagan,
Chill. First of all. I wasn't calling you a Bandwagon Raiders fan. WE ALL KNOW YOU ARE A RAIDERS FAN. One of the only true Raiders fans here.

And I wasn't saying that a team like the Packers were any better than the Raiders this year. We all got a back seat to the Buc's. Super Bowl champs mean something. That's why they are called World Champions. 2nd or 10th place in the playoffs mean nothing.

What I was stating is all of the Bandwagon fans I see and hear around the Bay Area with their new Raiders stickers or their Brand New Woodson Jerseys. Talking about the how they love their Raiders. Even though they were Niner fans the week before. And you have to hear them say, "Since my team lost, I guess I can root for the other Bay Area team." That's BS. Stick to one team.

Just like Andy(AC_Gohan) said above, REAL FANS STICK WITH ONE TEAM!

This is an inappropriate thread for me to opine about the Raiders, but I will give props to Gagan for remaining faithful. And I see no reason why the coming dip in Raider greatness will last any longer than the Niners' did in '99 and '00. With the picks from the Bucs, plus the possibility of actually trading some of the vetereans instead of cutting them in June, I think the Raiders will be competetive again in 3 years max. Of course, karma will still prevent them from actually winning anything, but that's a whole other thread. The flipside to the salary cap preventing preventing dynasties is that it is also easier to not stay bad. One year you can't afford Todd Marinovich because you have $15 mil in cap penalties, but then the next you are $25 mil under. A beautiful thing. It's like getting handed Al's Gold card before a trip to i-Speed. Any team can get it right then. Unless you're the Bungles.

As for the raiders the owner better move the team or something. Ive never seen such a display of low class and stupidity. They broke into a kelly morre store and stole paint...... -1 karma for california because now the world sees that Oakland is a $hit hole.
Dude they had to find out at some point in time. I'm gonna go ahead and change the -1 karma point to against Oakland rather than California in general.

Ban Suvs, thanx. <Banning SUV wil be a debate topic i'm gonna use in class >

Yeah, i think AS LONG AS THEY PICK GOOD, i think the raiders will do well in a few years.

Karma? Stealing some paint is nothing Andy... 100 plus murders i think is a much bigger problem.

Haha, do what I do when engaged in the debate Gagan- throw them off guard by debunking the environmental damage aspect, then demonstrate the threat they represent to other vehicles (like, say, a 2700 pound GM6, for a random, coincidental example). There are also TONS of statistics and arguments about them under a nasioc thread titled "big fat hairy SUVS suck" posted by yours truly.
