Here is a question They did not write me up for exhaust just the intake. If I sell the APS and get a Short Ram or the SPT both are carb legal now If I get pulled again will they then impound me for the exhaust?

your asking things people are just going to speculate. besides you cant go to state ref with a full TBE on, don't be silly dude

if you get state reffed more than once....YOU are f-ed, plain and simple.

you are being reffed for "illegal mods"

you don't have to fix the mods, you can pay the ticket off, same as if you fixed it (either way you pay the same fine) but again, you get caught again....its on.

Yes, if you do nothing (as in pay the fine and keep your car illegal) but if you go back to stock and prove your car is up to par, you can show that to the judge and pay only a $10 dismissal fee.

I was cited and ordered to go to the state ref but instead of going to prove my car was up to code, I just paid the fine (it would have cost me too much time/effort/money) to go back to stock and then put the mods back on a second time.

If I get caught again, the car is going back to stock and sold asap.

But isn't that what the Ref is for? To inspect and certify the car is legal? The officer is not an automovite tech and you go to the Ref and clear your name. On the other hand I hear that if you go to the Ref and fail, then you will be in some ****. Is that what you mean?

what i mean is its not like a license plate ticket, fix it and its only $10....

they are punishing you and making you put your car back to legal, if not you can just pay it (just as before minus ref)...and chances are you will get caught again and your in some serious problems.

dont take it from me, not like we've ever been asked to swap cars back....ALL the time, lol

So (hypothetically) you are saying a completely stock car could be sent to the Ref two seperate times (even though the car was stock both times) and they would have serious problems?

They should be able to prove the car was stock (hence the Ref).
