I wana go... but then it can't be during the week like last time, i was saddened by that :-/
I think Thunderhill is best, my first track day was at Sears Point, and it was a ton of fun, but a lot of cars crashed, and I didn't feel near as comfortable there as I did at Thunderhill (where a total of 0 cars crashed).
It'l probably be my 3rd track day... I luv bein a nub :-)
Anyway Track days FTW, and hopefully i can go to this one!

yeah I agree on the crashing part about Sears... lots of walls.
it's my favorite track, though. Laguna is less noob friendly, and Sears has quite a bit of runoff where cars might need it. Thill and Bwillow are much safer, I agree, but they're also quite a drive... whereas Sears is just 70-80 miles away.

for most groups these days if you're new, you're required to have an instructor
and thill's not THAT far.... takes me about 2.5 hours from mp, and it takes me 1.5 hours to sears...

edgar,

I agree on Thill for a more novice friendly atmosphere. The drive sucks, but it's better to drive home than be towed

With that said...my vote is for LSIR!

LSIR is $$$ and most of our cars wouldn't pass sound
I think Sears is also out of the question b/c it costs $ and has a lot of walls.
Thunderhill might be a good venue for 2005. anybody wanna jump on making one? it would be nice if it were on a weekend.
