how did you break this in?

well I am of the school of thought that putting it up in the revs every now and again while breaking it in is not bad. Gets things loosened up and seated. I drove probably 95% of the first 1000 under 4k with a few jolts up to the mid 5's every now and again.
I drove to santa cruz and back like 3 times so I had most of my 1000 miles done in the first couple days. Drove to SF to show it to my co workers. I think it took me like 6-10 days to break it in......got it in august...has nearly 12k on it now. Damn girl friend lives in san juan batista...whole family in Santa Cruz and I'm in south fremont so I drive a whole stinking lot. not to mention like 5 snowboard trips already.
as for insurance...I pay about $170 a month.

Damn...you all pay a lot for insurance.
I pay $1,200 a year (thats $100 a month for you lotto players) for my WRX and an '82 Corvette, full coverage and extras on both...

insurance is burning me another *** hole. They showed me this "symbol" rating system. The Acura had a 19. The STi is a 25. Anything over 27 is an arm and a leg (Lambo, BMW, Elephants..).
Thought having 4 doors means we're more civilized.
