Did I break my Canon Rebel XT?
I was taking pics at Hammy today and I noticed the autofocus was acting up.
As far as I can tell from the pics, they look fine. Not out of focus or anything.
The problem is that when the camera focuses, it beeps like normal telling you it's focused, but only the far left red light "target" thing is lighted. This red light tells you where the camera is focused at.
I tested all the lights by pressing the right button on the top right of the camera that allows you to see all the lights on at once. Again, only the far left light is on.
Sorry if it sounds confusing. Anyone know what's wrong?

same thing happens with my d70s, it always goes to the bottom meter for some reason, so i just turn it off and reset it ha.

probably the lens.
on my old 10D, i had a sigma lens where the motor assembly had to be replaced.
oh wait... hold on...
so just one of the red boxes is lighting up?
you may need to RTFM. you hit the custom function which select which box to auto focus on...
look for "SELECTING AN AF POINT"...

Check if its set to only one AF point.
When looking at the back of the camera. You press the button in the top right then use the wheel to change it.
