actually.. the Impreza debut in 93 and in the US we had a 01 GC/GM, where as the 00 was the last year of the GC/GM, as the GDx stared everywhere else as the 2001 model, and as the 2002 in the US
annnd what does edmunds say about this new ****??
What's Edmunds' take?
A lack of new engines and conservative styling makes this a tough sell to the Impreza faithful. The much broader audience of compact sedan and hatchback buyers, however, are likely to find this more grown-up Impreza more appealing than its predecessor. — Ed Hellwig, Senior Editor

i still say its on a better road of looking good than the pignose. hatch FTW. all rally cars should be hatch.

Hmm... Not feeling that grill. I kind of want something "meaner" looking. I really hope they don't discontinue the WRX wagons. Wagons are cool... hatches... well... not really feeling those. So... pretty much the difference between the two is one has more trunk space than the other right?
i think the grill is horrible.. i don't know who at subaru looked at it and said "hey now johnny thats a beautiful design ya got there! lets get em rolling in manufacturing.. oh boy howdy do i have a good feeling about that grill!!"

That grill is hella lame. From what I saw from the pictures... I think the hatch sucks. Should of just improved on the wagon or something.
It doesn't even look like a Subaru. At least with the previous generations, you can see the resemblance. I think someone said it already, but it looks like a Mazda. Personally, I think it looks like my friend's Civic hatchback.

i do like it too huck.. just not the grill.
and at first i looked down on the plastic intake manifold.. but wouldn't that be better as it will not heatsoak?? same with the intercooler, it has plastic housing and all that.. i would imagine it will help temp's.
