Help!- My windshield is cracked!
Call your insurance company. Most waive the deductable on windshield repairs.

stay away from "repairs', only opt for the replacement. I had like a dime size crack, they "filled" it w/ a resin, now it looks like permanent bird poop on my windshield. sucks.

if you have insurance id have them replace it after all a claim is a claim

oh and btw.. the only way that it will look like a bird poop if you opt to seal it is if there is a chunk missing.. if its a simple star (small) you can seal it and it will be fine
