The EJ22T, when built correctly, will handle a lot of power.
And I have one sitting here.

Either bored out, similar to what a lot of Evo guys are doing to make their 2.0L to a 2.2, or yes, just getting a EJ22T. I've heard those motors are the best of the EJ series.

on my old vf30, the bearing was shot, it wouldnt hit boost until 4200 rpms, and it was slower than a dog before that, im not saying your turbo is blown, but that was my problem, now im vf22'd and it runs strong as ever!

I guess my car doesn't really lag that bad, I'm just always comparing it to the TD04 or to my friends STi, which would make mine look very laggy. For now I guess I'm going to keep my current setup, fix the boost leak, and work on the tranny.
