Flat Power Band?
When I am at full throttle (i.e., launching), lately my car fells FLAT across the entire powerband; even at 5,000 rpm when the boost usually seems to kick in. Hell, a stock 3 year old GTi pulled away from me on a freeway on ramp when I was going for it. Needless to say, this really pissed me off. This has been happening to me the past few months. It almost feels I am running without a turbo, but the turbo tach says otherwise. I am meticulous about maintenance for my car and don't abuse it, but drive it like it is supposed to be driven. I use Mobil ! synthetic and Redline in the rear diff and tranny. By the way, it is an 04 WRX.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a cure? Other than adding performance parts, what should I do? I feel like I have my old Honda Civic again. Thanks again for any help.
