why is my boost changing

okay so i installed my helix 3 inch catless downpipe and my hks hi power exhaust on. i already had a catless up pipe on the car. after installing the tuboback i out in a autometer boost gauge so i could read my boost in Psi instead of MPa. i noticed when i installed the boost guage the boost was the same as my older boost guage. when i first installed my boost gauge i was getting as high as 12 psi in 1st, 15psi in 2nd, and 18psi in 3rd+4th. but now i am only gettin single digit boost in first gear and i am not seeing more than 10-11 psi in second and i am only at about 13-14 psi in 3rd 4th. whqats going on now? was i just gtting boost spikes due to my new installed turboback, has it just stopped at this point or am i getting boost leak

Do you have a boost controller? You shouldn't be hitting 18 psi.

i do not have a boost controller and that is why i saw these high boost numbers as a problem. i was wondering if i was just gettin spikes before (after the 3inch catless install) or if i am loosing boost now what are the boost numbers i should be at no MBC no ECU upgrade just full catless system
