I sold my car a few days ago, and now in the market for a new ride!!!

i know it's hard to find a STi to test drive. But personally I think you could only decide if you have driven both.

°oO(Only if they have both for rental... )

Simple do you plan on working on the car yourself or plan on keeping it a long time? If you answered yes on either question then I'd go with an STI. I know the reports say that the EVO's drive better at the limit, but how many of us can pull the limit out of these cars. I've worked on lots of cars and tranverse layouts are always harder to work on then longitudinal ones. I also like the shifter to actually go into the tranny as opposed to being on cables or linkage. I know this is going to ruffle some feathers, but I'm going to say it anyway I don't think the build quality at Mitsubishi is on par with Subaru. I've owned a few Mitsu's in my time and they've all suffered from oil leaks through either the valve seals or guides or both. In fact my Dad has a Mitsu pick-up with about 40,000 on it and it's already burning oil. I think that Mitsubishi makes a fine car I just don't feel it will last as long as a Suby. I guess you might expect this answer being on a Suby board though, huh.

5 doors are even better. Wait for the STi Wagon. Haha. Get the STi... If not that then I'm with JC and say you should get the Turbo Legacy when it comes out.
