Help on the go
So I'm currently on my way to trade exhausts with another member, my check engine light just came on and my cruise control light is blinking. The cruise control light won't turn off. Since it's a long way home and I won't be there for awhile, I was hoping to see if anyone new what could be going on before I get home and do an OBD2 scan. Car info 05 fxt 700 break -in miles on the rebuilt engine.

Can't really tell with that. That's what usually happens when you get a CEL, your lights blink and you can't use the cruise control. All I know is that you shouldn't drive if the CEL is blinking.

Thanks for the replies guys, I know I didn't give much info on the symptoms. Ended up driving home and pulling a P0420, and an old minor evap code. Since I've had this problem before with high mileage stock cats ( the fxt is bone stock, was picking up a catback for my lady ) I just cleared the codes and hopefully they won't be back. Worked on my bugeye, and should hold me over till I get an AP and go stage 2.
