There is a TSB for 2002—2003 wrxs, but there is no general recall. In CA, they extended the warranty on these specific components to 12 years/unlimited mileage. In a few 'cold' states, there was a local recall.

STis and 2004+ WRXs are not part of this because they supposedly have the updated components already. There's no harm asking though.
