I just bought a Konica-Minolta G400 a couple of days ago:

It's really small, sturdy, has nice features, and I already own memory sticks and SD/MMC cards. The G400 has 2 slots and takes both types of memory - both can be loaded at the same time. IMO, compact flash media is cheaper now, but on it's way out (too big and bulky). Personally, when shopping for a camera I also avoided the xD format because it's one of the newer memory types and is very expensive.
